The German Language Reveals The Last Jedi’s Title is Plural

Back when Lucasfilm revealed the title of Star Wars Episode VIII, it's been debated over the exact meaning. Specifically if it's singular or plural since the word Jedi is like sheep and can mean both. Thankfully the official German title has revealed all. The title is plural. Read More >>

The deal with mobile signal is pretty strange. Somehow, my grandparents who live in rural Wales manage to get better 4G signal than I did in my old house - which was in the middle of a reasonably well populated area. They also get quite fast broadband, despite the fact that the nearest supermarket (including mini things like Tesco Express) is over half an hour away by car and most of the local train stations are request only. There are probably encyclopaedia-sized reports about why, though, which would take more time than I have to read and understand. Read More >>

All the Best Gifts for the Person That Hates Themselves

So 50 Shades Darker, the sequel to 50 Shades of Grey just hit cinemas. The consensus is that it's absolute drivel, but people are bound to go and see it anyway. Because they hate themselves, they're masochists, they were duped into thinking it's good, or because they were forced to. Read More >>

All the Best Bat Merch for Lego Batman Fans

Today is the day that The Lego Batman Movie hits cinema screens across the world, provided you ignore the fact you could go and see it last weekend. It's the first in what seems to be a number of Lego Movie spin-offs, focussing on a lovably egotistical version of The Dark Knight. Read More >>

It doesn't matter how many things that are available to watch, you never seem to be able to find anything interesting available. It doesn't matter if you have hundreds of satellite TV channels, various streaming service subscriptions, or whatever sketchy streaming and torrent sites are at your disposal. What's up with that anyway? If anyone knows the science, I'd love to hear a tl;dr version. Read More >>

The Batman We Needed and Deserved: Our Spoiler-Free Review of The Lego Batman Movie

Batman was the breakout star of 2014's The Lego Movie, so it made total sense that Warner Bros. would greenlight a Bat-themed spin-off. Batman keeps raking in millions upon millions after all, and that's without making himself suitable for a child-aged audience. Read More >>

After a few years of waiting, the Batman-centric Lego Movie spin-off is finally here. Sort of. It's actually out for real on Friday 10th, but people have been able to go and see it this weekend. It is also, as promised, filled with easter eggs and callbacks to the Batmen of old, and given the 75+ year history of the character there are plenty of them to enjoy. Here's everything we spotted: Read More >>

Everything You Need if You Give a Damn About the Super Bowl

In this country 'football' means the game played by a bunch of overpaid men who will fall over and cry out in pain if a fly so much as farts in their general direction. It's also played with your feet, unless you're a goalie. In America football is more like Rugby with padding and ad breaks, and features very little foot-meets-ball action. It's not really seen as a big deal here, except on Super Bowl day. Read More >>

Google Daydream vs Samsung Gear VR: Which Mobile VR Platform is Best?

Getting a premium VR headset is a pricey endeavour, and even the relatively cheap PSVR requires a minimum of £550 to get the most basic experience. But there are other systems capable of using your smartphone, that thing you use every single day, to offer a VR experience. It's nowhere near as impressive as the uber-expensive stuff, but it's also a darn sight cheaper. The only question is, which platform is best? Read More >>

James Cameron is no stranger to sequels—and he’s better at making them than most, with Terminator 2: Judgment Day and Aliens on his CV(Whether or not all those Avatar films will continue his streak is a question for another day.) But when asked about the state of the Alien franchise in 2017, he had some choice words. Read More >>
